The 2013 OBeer User conference was a tremendous success. One of the biggest reasons for putting on a user conference was to allow our customers to experience how much we care and show them how invested we are in the brewing industry and in their success. We wanted to get to know them, chat with them, share a beer (or 2) and get real feedback on how we can help their brewery run even better.
The OBeer User Conference was an awesome way to accomplish all that. Ask any of the attendees about their experience and you’ll hear nothing but good things. The biggest difference between our company and others out there is that we focus 100% on the brewery industry. We also know our stuff. A huge thanks to our customers who attended and all those behind the scenes who made it happen. We have over 25 hours of training and Q&A footage from the conference that will be passed on to the rest of our community members who weren’t able to attend, so sit tight!
We had more than 60 attendees from 22 different breweries from as far away as Eastern Canada in attendance. So, here’s a quick re-cap and a few photos in case you missed out.
Welcome Reception at Full Sail Brewing
We wrapped up the first day of user conference sessions with a trip out to one of our largest enterprise customers, Full Sail Brewing, in Hood River, OR for some private tours, complimentary food & drinks and great conversation between OBeer employees and our brewery customers.
Customer Feedback & Interaction
It was a great opportunity to finally put faces to names and interact 1-on1 with our customers for 3 days. Most attendees took advantage of the Portland night life by visiting local breweries and beer bars like Green Dragon. We were also able to get tons of feedback on the product and what we can do to make OrchestratedBEER even better.
Training / Q&A Sessions:
The core of the conference was centered around 12 training sessions, Q&A, and a number of keynotes that revealed the future road map of OrchestratedBEER, which is driven by the needs and demands of our customers.
Thanks to our Special Speakers:
We had a number of special speakers present some educational content on a number of brewery industry topics ranging from insurance and TTB compliance to budgeting and safety.
Dan Drown – Drown Consulting, LLC
Dan addressed key safety issues in a brewery and how to put safety programs in place
John Hoefer – Brewery Insurance Program
John spoke on how to lower insurance premiums and answered the difficult questions that sometimes get overlooked
Rich Lindsay – Lindsay CPA, LLC
The Former Boston beer CFO addressed the process of company valuations including budgeting and planning best practices.
Gary Prindiville – Prindiville & Associates

Customer Interview Videos:
Aside from informal conversations over beers, we were also able to formally interview 5 different breweries to find out what they really think about OrchestratedBEER and why they chose to work with us. Look for those video interviews on the website soon.
