Leadership

As the President and CEO of Orchestra Software, I lead a talented team of bright people with the unified mission of helping growing industries run better. Orchestra builds industry vertical ERP software that is highly specific to the needs of the industries we serve. This strategy has enabled Orchestra to double or triple in size and revenue every year.

At Orchestra, I take pride in our ability to innovate our product, processes, and culture, to create the most effective team possible. The impact of our culture of constant improvement never ceases to amaze me, and it keeps me fired up, day in and day out.

My vision for Orchestra is to grow this company into the largest global provider of industry vertical software for small and midsize enterprises.

I’ve learned how to enter an industry, gain knowledge, and go-to-market with a solution that solves the real problems facing an industry. I believe there is a paradigm shift happening with software right now, moving to Cloud, Mobile, and Big Data, so I have positioned Orchestra to leverage this shift.

Reshad is the VP of Operations at Orchestra, handling everything necessary to grow our business in both the short term and long term. Reshad, a serial entrepreneur and business owner, has a long history in small business management and software systems which he utilizes everyday in his role at Orchestra.

As Orchestra’s VP of Operations, Reshad oversees the creation and roll-out of our solutions, directs the sales team, develops our sales execution strategies, overseas implementation schedules and manages day-to-day operations. If you contact Orchestra to ask about doing business with us, you’re likely to speak to Reshad and find out that he’s interested in your business and how we can help. He has an uncanny ability to determine what really matters to people and where Orchestra’s solutions and services fit in.

Software Engineering

Greg Hayward implements solutions primarily in C#, SQL and XML, though he also has experience with Java, C, and C++. Greg has a BS in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University where he focused on data mining, design patterns, and programming architecture. Greg also participated in the local branch of the ACM and the International Collegiate Programming Contest for several years.

When not designing brewery software, Greg enjoys hiking, reading, board games, house-rules Croquet and experimenting with various food recipes.

Robert joined the development team in 2013 to help take things to the next level with our iPad app and re-vamp and simplify some of our other integrations. Robert enjoys home brewing on the side and is a trusted source in our office for any brewing advice.
Grant joined the Orchestra Software Engineering team after graduating from the Portland Tech Academy in 2014. Before finding his way to the Silicon Forrest Grant put his organic chemistry degree from The Evergreen State College to use working as a quality control chemist for a polymer manufacturing plant and for a logistic company that specialized in exporting hazmat cargo!

Outside of work Grant is an avid home-brewery and musician (banjo and guitar).

Product

Conner has the special honor of being the only OBeer team member that was first a user. As the Controller for Avery Brewing Company, Conner was a major player in the OBeer Community. Always willing to share his ideas and knowledge on the OBeer Forum, Conner was one of the driving forces behind our customer centered product development. When Brad started thinking about adding a Product Manager to the team Conner was his first choice. With a degree in Accounting, a strong interest in development and great knowledge of OBeer he was a great fit.

In his free time Conner enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying a beer or two and going on the occasional run.

Solution Experts

James has had an extensive career managing factories and production facilities prior to his arrival at Orchestra. He served as Plant/Production Manager for a variety of local industries mostly related to electronics. He ran production operations producing laptop computers, flat panel displays and audio equipment. Most recently, he managed production operations for a company that produced colored art glass, which from a process tracking standpoint has many of the same complexities and challenges as tracking beer production.

He has over 25 years experience with different ERP systems where the poor quality of stock reporting tools influenced him to develop his own reports and analytic tools. His perspective and experience as a long time end user makes him uniquely qualified to develop reporting products that are clear, easy to use and maximize productivity.

When no creating reports to add to the latest addition of OBeer James enjoys photography/videography, volleyball, and spending time with his family.

Sarith is another one of our talented technical consultants. With a degree in business administration and a customer service background through Mariott, Sarith is well-equipped to help our clients solve any issues that may arise.

Sarith also spent 10 years building his own computers on the side, which helped him troubleshoot hardware/software capability issues.

Sarith’s fascination with computers, technology and software, combined with his customer service skills gained in the hospitality industry make him the perfect candidate to help us support our clients in a professional manner.

Glen is one of the friendly voices on the other end of the phone. Glen utilizes his previous experience as a QuickBooks support technician to help relate to clients and walk them, through the new OBeer processes. It helps when you have someone like Glen who can relate. Not only will Glen help talk through the issues, but he also likes to use short, personalized video tutorials to “show” clients how to solve an issue step by step.

Glen is also a talented musician and has been known to pick up a guitar and play a few cover songs on a Friday afternoon.

Sales

Ryan brings his sales expertise to Orchestra after working 3 years as a Mobility Sales Consultant for AT&T. Ryan isn’t about selling, he’s about building relationships. Although he was quite successful in past jobs, Ryan saw a promising opportunity to work with Orchestra in a growing industry with new challenges.

Ryan had the unique opportunity to study abroad at an internship in Norway while pursuing a business degree at Oregon State University.

Before working at Orchestra, AT&T and other various jobs, Ryan spent more than 7 years supervising seasonal production lines, directing workflow and managing shipping/logistics at his family farm called Townsend Farms Inc.

Ryan likes to spend his free time playing soccer, snowboarding, wakeboarding, fishing and golfing. He’s also a diehard Beavers and Trail Blazers fan.

Marketing

Drew is our marketing guy. His role encompasses more than just marketing and communications by contributing to various tasks that help us maintain efficiency and provide exceptional visual materials for our clients. If it has anything to do with our brand and getting the word out there about OBeer, chances are Drew is involved.

Drew’s background combines a unique blend of marketing and PR that provides valuable insight and perspectives in our day-to-day operations. His input helps us connect with clients and present a more simplified approach. Drew’s creativity and entrepreneurial spirit were instrumental in implementing a social media strategy for a non-profit and creating a marketing and recruiting campaign for a start-up nuclear power company.

Whether it’s designing and updating our website and newsletters with content, overall product branding, or simply providing input on presentations and proposals, Drew assists with the overall flow and helps it all come together in a way that is both understandable and visually appealing to our clients.

Kelsey graduated with a degree in political science and business from the University of Oregon. After interning for an international organization in Geneva, Switzerland she knew a job in politics was not for her. Returning to Portland, she got a job in branding, marketing and sales for a technology company and found the challenge and creativity exciting and rewarding. Looking to have her passion of beer, technology and marketing combined into one job she found her way to Orchestra.

Outside the office you can find Kelsey teaching gymnastics at a small studio, going to a yoga class, cooking/baking, dancing or enjoying a beer with friends and family at a Portland Timbers game.

Customer Success

Dani is our Director of Services here at Orchestra. She spends a lot of time traveling and onsite with our Enterprise customers as well as phone time setting up our new customers.

Dani holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Concordia University, where she played collegiate basketball. (She’s also the only member of our team to have a clip on ESPN!)

Dani’s past experience includes a year-long internship with a brokerage firm and was a Financial Representative at a finance company. Dani also enjoys coaching a girls middle school basketball team in her spare time.

As an Associate Consultant, Claudia helps breweries make the smooth transition to our OnDemand brewery software platform.Now she has transitioned into our Customer Care Manager.

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Claudia holds a BA in Accounting from Portland State University. Mix in a few years of Arabic, extensive traveling experience in Europe, Japan, and Mexico and a love for music and dance, and you’ve got Claudia; a melting pot of diverse knowledge and experience.

Claudia’s previous experience includes two years at Intel’s Lab Support Division followed by more than three years as an Administrative Office Manager at a fundraising company. She has also helped out extensively in her mother’s family business.

In her spare time, Claudia enjoys traveling and spending time with her young daughter, family and friends. She’s also an avid movie watcher and delights herself in reading novels by her favorite author, Paulo Coehlo.

Services

Before arriving at Orchestra Bryan worked for a software company that designed an ERP system for government agencies. Having experience in financial services and banking prior to making the transitional to software, Bryan has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the services team.

A self proclaimed “technology geek” Bryan owns more computers than one should admit. He is a lifetime learner, often listening to audio books or podcasts while he works. Outside the office he enjoys hanging out with friends and family! While an avid San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan he has recently gotten into hockey and soccer.

Dylan joins us from the east coast home for craft beer, North Carolina. After receiving a dual degree in finance and international studies from North Carolina State University he traveled and lived abroad in Mexico, South America, Europe and Japan. With 4 year of finance experience, most recently as a financial consultant for a health insurance company, Dylan is excited to bring together his financial experience and interest in the craft beverage culture  together at Orchestra.

Outside of work Dylan is an active member of his community by volunteering with local non-profits. He is also ran the Portland Marathon in October!

Support

Greg is a Director of Support for Orchestra. He oversees the day-to-day support issues that arise with our clients. His previous experience in help desk support and customer service support roles in the IT industry brings great value to our support team.

Greg is also a Veteran. He served honorably in the Military for 9 years. Among earning 3 MOS’s (Cannon Crewmen, Supply & Logistics, and Communication), Greg also completed his tour as a Staff Sergeant.

Jeff graduated with a degree in accounting and international business from Oregon State University. Having traveled and lived abroad in China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and the Philippines he spent two years in South Korea following graduation, Upon returning to the United States he worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst where his interest in support and helping customers solve problems was born. Combined with his interest in brewing/beer the Orchestra Support department was a perfect fit for him.

When he is not solving customer problems, you can find Jeff enjoying all the great outdoor activities that Oregon has to offer. He is an avid rock climber, camper and hiker!

In college, Eric studied a variety of topics including Advanced Mathematics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. Combined with his extensive background in Customer Service and Technical Support, this knowledge allows Eric to work with people on all different levels of technical expertise to solve whatever problems they may be having.

In his free time Eric enjoys a variety of hobbies like paintball, golf, and playing video games. Eric also enjoys home brewing, which is one of the many reasons working at Orchestra was so appealing in the first place.

Administrative

As our assistant controller, Jonathan manages our cash flows while establishing Key Performance Indicator benchmarks for budgeting purposes.

His previous role was as a Financial Analysis at Baker Group LLP involved investigating Thermal Energy Storage solutions utilizing Time-of-Use Cost Management for datacenters and cogeneration capabilities for geothermal power plants.
